This is me: a Stammering Fool

What am I doing you ask?

I am new to this whole blog thing, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that I can inform, entertain, and hopefully inspire at least one person who comes across this blog.

Who am I? Well…

My name is Chris. I am, and have always been, as long as I can remember, a stutterer. What does this mean? Well, in its simplest, most basic form it means that I have a hard time speaking fluently. I get stuck on a variety of sounds. These sounds can be at the beginning, middle, end, or all of the above, of words or sentences. It is not easy living with a stutter and I have a feeling that some stutterers do everything they can to fly under the social radar and go unnoticed. Therefore, in an attempt to fly very much in the cross-hairs of said radar, I am introducing myself to the digital world in an attempt to let you all have an inside look on the life and times of an adult male with a stutter.  The goal here is to tell stories, share memories and milestones, and delve into the social anxieties and difficulties that are associated with having a stutter.

It took me a while to actually publish this post, it has been in the “draft” stage for about 2 months now, but I figure it’s time to share.

So please, read on and enjoy.

Stay beautiful people.
